Since one is dealing in precious stones, the task of tracking each piece becomes more challenging. ORNATE (DJ) provides a simple yet powerful solution for this problem.

By default, ORNATE (DJ) works on STAR based process flow, which means all material issue and receipt happens through central materials store such that after every process is over, material is not transferred directly to next Process / Department indicated in process flow but the same is returned back to central store which in turn issues goods to next process after due quality checks.

Masters

As far as inventory of diamonds are concerned, it supports user definable diamond style master with definition of cut/shape, clarity and color along with sieve size master.

You can also open all kinds of product categories as per your requirements.

ORNATE (DJ) also maintains data of design wise mold master as well as wax pieces details.

User can define process master and for each process one also define whether the process will be tracking items on piece basis or lot basis. E.g. Process of casting can be on lot basis where the gross weight is considered while issuing to process, where as process of pre-polishing can maintain piece wise information.

Users can also change the process route at any given stage for a particular item or job card.

Typically process gets initiated with inward entry of order for any item category. The order is either processed with casting or handmade process depending upon the design of the ornament. Once articles are received from casting, they can pass through filing process if necessary and then JOB CARDS are prepared for each item. In certain cases JOB CARD’S are prepared along with order inward itself. Once job card is prepared image or design of each item can also be tagged to the same and it can be printed for physical movement along with product.

ORNATE (DJ) facilitates you to maintain even artisan wise details of metal issue, receipt, metal loss and broken diamonds/stones. Weight loss during each process can be easily tracked and option of receipt and issue of dust along with facility for process wise recovery of dust is also available.

Material can be rejected at any stage and even STOP ORDER facility is also available during any stage of production.
